Directions: The sandwich is designed to have a “crust” at the back. If you would rather have 2 separate triangular slices of bread, simply stop the bread pattern at row 10 and make 2 bread pieces. All directions in UK English; see abbreviations glossary for US English equivalents.

Row 2: no tch, slst into 2nd ch from hook [1 slst]

Row 12: dc8 FLO

 Row 17: dc2tog twice [2 dc]
Row 18: dc2tog [1 dc]

Sandwich Filling

Repeat crochet bread filling to row 10.
Row 11: 2dc, dc6, 2dc [10 dc]
Row 12: dc10
Finish off, and weave in ends.

Sandwich Pickle

Row 1: magic loop of 5 htr, do not join [5 htr]
Finish off, and tie your yarn tails together before trimming.

To make up your crocheted sandwich, layer the pieces together – filling inside bread, with pickles peeking out along the edges. Use bread coloured yarn to sew the diagonal edges of the sandwich, firmly together. NB: A length of yarn about as long as your arm, should be enough to go around both edges, twice, in simple running stitch.
